Team India’s young star batter, Ishan Kishan, has been out of India’s setup for quite a while now. As the young wicketkeeper is unavailable for the selection team, India is trying to fill the vacant slot with the likes of Ks Bharat and Dhruv Jurel fulfilling the wicketkeeping duties for the team.
Kishan asked for a break during India’s tour of South Africa and has been out of action since then. When India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, was asked about Ishan’s potential return, Dravid replied that the young wicketkeeper needs to play some cricket before getting eligible for the selection.
On the other hand, Ishan Kishan tried to stay away from the Ranji Trophy despite a clear message from India’s head coach. Now a report claims that the young wicketkeeper is training alongside Pandaya brothers in Baroda.
Kishan’s actions even raised eyebrows, as Pandya is now the captain of his IPL team, the Mumbai Indians.
As stated by the former Indian wicketkeeper Kiran, Ishan Kishan is currently training in the academy.
Krishan was last seen playing for the Indian team in the month of November of the previous year; however, he was benched for a few games in the meantime.
The wicketkeeper has shown no interest in playing domestic cricket, despite India’s head coach Rahul Dravid’s plea.
With the selection committee all set to announce the squad for the last three test matches against England, it will be interesting to see if Ishan Kishan is able to make it into India’s squad.
