‘Kick Me Out From The Pakistan Team’, PAK Destructive Batter Blasts On The Selection Process Of PCB

In a recent interview, the Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan expressed his discontent with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He stated that he has not been given a fair opportunity to display his skills on the international platform.

The 25-year-old cricketer is currently playing in the UAE’s International League T20 (ILT20) with the Desert Vipers. He voiced his dissatisfaction with how the PCB has managed his cricketing career.

The son of ex-wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan criticized the PCB’s coaching system and said that he is not getting chances to showcase his talent. During a discussion with veteran batter Shoaib Malik, Azam expressed his concerns with some harsh language which might not get good to PCB officials and former officials.

“I believe that whenever I participate in franchise cricket, I receive numerous opportunities because they acknowledge my ability to win games, which is why they invite me. However, if there are doubts about my capability at this level, I’m fine with it, and I’ll find my own way out,” he said.

Azam also showed his frustration with getting limited opportunities. He said, “I’ve made three comebacks in the past four years, and I’ve never had the chance to play a complete series for Pakistan, so that’s painful. Either kick me out after a full series or don’t leave my chances hanging on the edge.”

Azam Khan underscored that he approaches the game with a clear mind, and the doubts raised about his abilities by the PCB lead to frustration.

The batter said, “I approach all my cricket with a clear mind. It frustrates me when doubts are cast on my plans. When I play under foreign coaches, they never make me feel inadequate. However, when I represent Pakistan, I get the sense that they consider me not that good of a cricketer.”
