Team India’s star fast bowler Sensational Mohammad Shami was named the best captain of India according to him,but to the surprise of the fans, neither Virat Kohli nor Rohit Sharma.
Mohammad Shami picked India’s captain, Cool Ms. Dhoni, over the other two players as the best captain. Ms. Dhoni is the only captain not only in India but also around the world to win all three ICC trophies.
In an interview, Shami said that things like these start with comparison, but if anyone asks him about the best captain, there is no one coming close to Captain Dhoni.
Dhoni, who made his debut for the Indian team way back in 2004, went on to become one of the successful players and captains who played 538 games across formats for the country.
In her 16-year career, Ms. Dhoni featured in 350 ODIs, 90 Tests, and 98 T20Is. His last appearance for Team India came in the year 2019 in the month of July, when India lost the semifinal of the World Cup 2019 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.
On August 15, 2020, Dhoni announced his retirement from all forms of the game; however, Ms. Dhoni continues to be a prominent face in French cricket. He is the captain of the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and is expected to lead his yellow army in the upcoming season of the IPL.
Talking about Shami,he has been out of action for a long period of time. He is currently in the UK for ankle treatment.
