However, as per the latest buzz, the star Indian batter could also miss the entire series.
The third match of the series between India and England will be played on February 15 in Rajkot. On the other hand, the fourth test match of the series will be hosted by Ranchi starting on February 23.
The Ajit Agarkar Lead Selection Committee will announce the test squad for the remaining three tests this week. But before making the squad announcement, the selection committee will get in touch with Virat to get a clear picture of his availability for the upcoming test matches.
However, Rohit Sharma and his men Could breathe a sign of relief as two of India’s ace players, Kl Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, who missed the second test of the series because of injury, will be available for selection.
The personal reason for which Virat Kohli opted out of this series was that both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are expecting the birth of their second child, as revealed by his former RCB teammate Ab Devilliers on his YouTube channel.
With the series on the line at 1-1, both teams will face each other in the third installment of the series, starting on February 15.
