“CSK is now a part of…”Matheesha Pathirana emotional tribute to Chennai super kings

Srilanka and CSK’s pace bowler Matheesha Pathirana’s journey has come to an unfortunate end in this year’s IPL. The pacer is now ruled out of the IPL due to a hamstring injury. A video was shared by the Chennai Super Kings on their social media, in which Pathirana was seen as emotional as he spoke about the lessons of the season.

Matheesha Pathirana was CSK’s go-to bowler this season; he has been the second-highest wicket taker for the team. He picked up 13 wickets from six matches in the ongoing IPL season.

In the video shared by CSK Matheesha Pathirana said, “It was really a good season for me. I played six matches and took 13 wickets. I think I bowled really well and got one Man of the Match award as well. I have to learn a lot of things from everywhere. So, in this season also, I learned a lot of things from the coaching staff, and not only the coaching staff, but also the seniors like Mahi Bhai and all of them. So, I learned a lot of things.”

Matheesha Pathirana’s standout performance for CSK was against archrivals the Mumbai Indians, against whom Matheesha bowled a brilliant match, winning 4/28, and was awarded Man of the Match for his standout performance.

Matheesha Pathirana said that it was hard for him to leave CSK so early, as now the franchise has become a part of his life.
