“Sick and tired….”Kieron Pollard’s fiery response to Hardik Pandya’s Criticism

Mumbai Indians head coach Kieron Pollard once again came in support of skipper Hardik Pandya in the post-match presentation after the team’s loss against Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 20 runs, with two players emerging as heroes in the form of Ms. Dhoni and Matheesha Pathirana, who excelled with bat and ball, respectively.

On the other hand, the Mumbai Indians skipper had an off day in the office as Hardik Pandya went for 43 runs in his four overs, picking up only 2 wickets. While batting, he scored only 2 of 6 deliveries.

In the post-match presentation, Kieron Pollard highlighted that cricket is a team sport and it’s not good to criticize a single player.

Kieron Pollard said, “I don’t know if it will affect his confidence. He is a confident guy; he has been great around the group. In cricket, you have good days and bad days, and I am seeing an individual who is working bloody hard to improve his skills and play his trade.”

Pollard didn’t stop here; he went on to say that he is sick and tired of seeing people point out fingers at Hardik Pandya. A player who will represent India in the upcoming T-20 World Cup.

Speaking about the same, Kieron Pollard said,
“I am sick and tired, fed up of [us] looking to pinpoint individuals; cricket is a team game at the end of the day. This is an individual that is going to represent the country in less than six weeks’ time, and all are going to cheer him and want him to do well. So it is high time we try to encourage and stop nitpicking and see if we can get the best out of one of the great all-rounders India has produced. He can bat, bowl, and field, and he has an X-factor about him.”

The coach further added, “I hope very well, deep down in my heart, that when he comes out on top, I’ll sit back and watch everyone sing his praises.”
