Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya has been fined Rs 24 lakh for a slow overrate offense for the second time in the IPL. All the other players, including the impact player, are fined Rs 6 lakh each for the offense.
An official statement from the IPL was released regarding the same, which said, “Mr. Hardik Pandya, the skipper of the Mumbai Indians, is fined Rs 24 lakh after his team failed to complete overs in the given time against the Lucknow Super Giants.”
“As it is the second time that Mumbai Indians have been penalized for repeating the offense, Hardik Panda was reprimanded with the highest penalty of Rs 24 lakh.”
The statement further added, “The rest of the members in the playing 11, including the impact player, were fined Rs 6 lakh, or 25 percent of their match fees.”
Mumbai Indians are set to be in action against KKR on May 3.
