According to a recent report, the dynamic Indian opening batsman, Prithvi Shaw is on the verge of being released by his IPL team which is Delhi Capitals.
There are indications that he is poised to be transferred to Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the IPL 2024 season. Despite an impressive start to his career, Prithvi Shaw has faced challenges in meeting the high expectations. Now the franchise will start with a new approach in the upcoming IPL 2024.
Prithvi Shaw made his debut in the IPL during the 2018 season, representing Delhi Capitals, after exceptional leadership by guiding India’s U-19 team to a World Cup victory. Besides talents such as Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, he played a pivotal role in making Delhi a remarkable franchise.
During his debut season, Shaw gathered 245 runs in nine matches, and he made these runs with an impressive strike rate of 150. In the 2021 edition, he scored 479 runs with an average of 31 and a strike rate of around 160.
However, his technical weaknesses against incoming deliveries came into highlight. He only gained a total of 106 runs across 8 innings during the IPL 2023 edition.
