“Would love to keep Dinesh in the…”Yuvraj’s Handpicked Wicketkeepers for India’s T20 WC Squad

A former Indian all-rounder who’s been part of two world cup-winning squads has been facilitated by the ICC as he has been named as the brand ambassador of the upcoming T20 World Cup. Yuvaraj Singh has been announced as a brand ambassador alongside Usain Bolt.

Yuvaraj Singh, who played a pivotal role in making India Champions of the inaugural T20 World Cup, shared his opinion on the two wicketkeepers who can be picked for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson have been the best-performing wicketkeepers in the ongoing IPL season, alongside Dinesh Karthik, who has been doing a commendable job in the finishing role for Royal Challengers Bangaluru.

Speaking at the ICC event, Yuvraj Singh picked Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson as the two ideal candidates. Yuvaraj wanted to keep Dinesh Karthik in the team, but it’s evident that he was not able to perform in the handful of matches that he played in the previous edition of the World Cup. With Rishabh Pant already in the team, Dinesh Karthik may not find a place in the playing 11.

Yuvraj Singh said, “Dk has been batting superbly this season. The thing with him is that the last time he was picked in India’s squad, he got a handful of matches to play. With Rishabh Pant, it will be tough for him to get in the side, and there is no point in picking him if he can’t find a place in the 11.”
