The incident sparked a heated exchange between the teams, with Naveen even sledding Virat Kohli, leading to further confrontations involving Gautam Gambhir. Since then, Naveen has been posting cryptic messages on social media, suggesting his unresolved feelings about the incident.
On his official Instagram account, Naveen shared a cryptic video illustrating a fable of a tiger arguing with a donkey. The video concludes with a straightforward quote highlighting the futility of arguing with individuals driven by their beliefs and illusions rather than seeking truth or reality. It mentions that some people are unwilling or unable to comprehend evidence presented to them, blinded by ego, hatred, and the desire to be right.
Towards the end of the video, the quote reads: “The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. There are people who, no matter how much evidence we present to them, cannot understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred, and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.”
Naveen was a member of the LSG team that suffered a loss to RCB during the playoff push. The incident between Naveen, Kohli, and Gambhir triggered a series of heated exchanges on social media, with Kohli’s comments on Twitter, and through interviews featuring Gambhir. Naveen claimed that the altercation began when Kohli grabbed his hand and exchanged insults and heated words. His comments attracted criticism from Indian fans as well.
