This Player Is Not Ready For T20I, Aakash Chopra Huge Statement On India’s Young Star

Indian batters did not perform well in the first T20Is against New Zealand and eventually, India suffered a 21-run loss in Ranchi. Former cricketer Aakash Chopra noted that the opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill is not doing well for India at the present after a 21-run loss to New Zealand in the first T20I at Ranchi. He claimed that India ultimately did not achieve victory because the openers misfired once more.

Chopra thinks Gill’s T20I career thus far hasn’t been a very exciting one because of the fact that he has only scored 36 times in his last 12 innings. Also, he claimed that India’s poor start caused them to lose the game.

While talking to his youtube channel, the former Indian opener said,“It is a slightly misfiring top order. The start was not good. The ball hit Ishan Kishan’s stumps. He has a highest of 36 in his last 12 innings in T20Is. Shubman Gill – the ball got stuck, and he got caught. Shubman Gill in T20Is – not a fantastic story at this point in time.”

Rahul Tripathi, who was batting at position three, was dismissed for a duck, failing to prove himself in international cricket for a second time. After that, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya tried to control the game but it was not enough to beat the Kiwis.

Aakash Chopra further stated,”Rahul Tripathi – it is a slightly young career; it has just started but he couldn’t open his account here, caught behind off Jacob Duffy’s bowling – good use of the DRS. Then Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya were there. There were hopes until Surya was there.”

Chopra stated during the game that there were hopes up till Suryakumar was batting but after that it was hard for India to win. Washington Sundar played some outstanding game in the middle, but the Hardik Pandya-led team was unable to successfully chase down 176.
