Breaking News: Abdul Razzaq and Asad Shafiq Join Selection Committee in women’s cricket

Pakistan cricket is currently going through a transition phase. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has taken the initiative to restructure women’s cricket in Pakistan. Mohsin Naqvi has appointed Abdul Razzaq and Asad Shafiq as the new members of the selection committee for women’s cricket in Pakistan.

This decision was taken as recently the Pakistan team was comprehensively beaten by the West Indies in an Odi series by the West Indies by a huge margin of 3-0 in their own backyard.

Marina Iqbal and Asamavia Iqbal are also part of the selection committee. The other two members of the selection committee, apart from these four, will be the skipper and head coach of the Pakistan women’s team.

Pakistan’s women’s team has been struggling in recent times, so Pakistan Chef Mohsin Naqvi taught about making changes in the women’s system. The newly appointed commissioner will be picking Pakistan’s squad for the series against England, which is set to be played in England. The series is set to start from May 11 to May 29.

The series will have three one-day and three T-20 matches as a part of the Itinerary. The Odi in the series is a part of the ICC women’s Odi championship from 2022–25.
 
The top 5 teams alongside India will automatically qualify (India being the host nation.) for the tournament.
