Former World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan feels that RCB’s triumph over Sunrisers Hyderabad is a wake-up call to all the other teams. Eoin Morgan was all praise for Royal Challengers Bengaluru after their dominating performance over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and elected to bat first. The red army put a cumulative total of 206 on the board. In the end, their bowlers restricted the heavy batting lineup of Sunrisers Hyderabad to 171, winning the contest by 35 runs.
Eoin Morgan feels that RCB’s tactics were brilliant against SRH, as they elected to bat first, which helped them get the opposition out of their comfort zone.
In his interaction with Jio Cima, Eoin Morgan said,” The wicket has to be a contributing factor, as it changed as the game progressed. We saw what the Sunrisers did in Delhi. On SRH, they came hard because the pitch was absolutely balmy. If they come hard, they are going to win because this is how they have been playing this season.
So I think the way Royal Challengers have played against them is a wake-up call for the other teams when they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad.”.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s next clash is against the Chennai Super Kings, who will be hosting them at their home ground. Eoin Morgan feels that if Chennai can get a pitch that assists their spinner, they can beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chepauk.”
Chennai Super Kings have earlier played against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but they were beaten by the Orange Army by a comprehensive margin.
In spite of the defeat, Sunrisers Hyderabad are placed firmly at number three in the points table with 10 points.
