The Lucknow Super Giants were beaten by KKR in a comprehensive manner by 98 runs in their final home game of the season. This was KKR’s second victory over LSG this season.

KKR were invited to bat first, and they got a massive score of 235 in their 20 overs. The star performer for Knight Riders was Sunil Narine, who scored 81 of 39 deliveries. Sunil Narine, along with Phil Salt, added 60 runs for the opening wicket in the first four overs.

After the match, LSG’s pace bowler, Naveen ul Haq, said that the team had made their plans against Sunil Narine, but nothing paid off.

In his post-match presentation, Naveen ul Haq said, “We planned against Narine. We wanted to mix it up with bouncers and yorkers, but nothing worked against him. It was quite a brilliant innings, to be honest. He was properly middling it. He has been doing it since the start of the season.”

The pacer went on to say that the team failed in the batting, which cost them the match. According to Naveen, this was the best batting track that the home team had for the season.

Lucknow Super Giants will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 8.
