‘Rohit Sharma Backed Him Even After 4 Continuous Failures And He Came With…’

Rohit Sharma who is considered one of India’s greatest T20 International captains is known for his marvelous captaincy skills and for backing players even after they get some failure.

Recently former Indian wicket-keeper batter Parthiv Patel has praised Rohit Sharma for his attitude towards the players and to get the best out of them when someone is underperforming.

Recently during the West Indies tour, young Indian pacer Avesh Khan did not have a great start to the series. He went for some heap of runs against the attacking West Indian batting lineup. Despite leaking runs and not claiming wickets, Avesh Khan got backed by the team’s captain, and eventually, he got the man of the match award in one of the T20Is.

While talking to his youtube channel, Parthiv Patel said, “I have played under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy at Mumbai Indians and the one thing that stands out is how he backs players who aren’t performing. He is vocal about them even in public and in press conferences, as we saw with the case of Avesh Khan. Rohit backed him even after four failures and he delivered with a Man-of-the-Match performance.”

Former wicket-keeper further added, “Rohit believes in taking instinctive decisions on the ground rather than pre-meditating them. When a crunch situation arises, he takes a call according to the situation and it is one of the main reasons why he has won five IPL trophies with Mumbai Indians. India has also won multi-national tournaments like the Asia Cup and Nidahas Trophy under Rohit’s captaincy.”

Let us tell you that, Parthiv Patel has played under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma for Mumbai Indians. Parthiv Patel also praised Shikhar Dhawan for his outstanding captaincy and said that the way ‘Gabbar’ led the team on the West Indies tour during the 3-match ODI series was commendable.
