This was the highest successful run chase by any IPL team in the history of this tournament. Punjab chased down 262 runs at the loss of two wickets. Before it, the record belonged to Rajasthan Royal where they scored 224 runs against Punjab, back in 2020.
In this match, the highest number of six has been hit for any IPL match in the history. The KKR and Punjab Kings batters together hit 42 runs in the match. Before it a total number of 38 sixes where scored between the match of Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians in this edition of IPL.
Punjab Kings now holds the record for hitting maximum number of sixes in an innings. In this match, PBKS players smashed 24 sixes while chasing the target of 262 runs. The previous record belonged to SRH where they got 22 sixes against RCB in IPL 2024.
