“Not easy for….”Sourav Ganguly’s Quest for a Level Playing Field for Batsmen and Bowlers in IPL

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has asked BCCI to find a way to get a perfect balance between the bat and ball. The former Indian skipper went on to say that the flat pitches in the IPL have been making bowlers struggle a lot. With the impact player rule, the teams are easily able to cross 200 runs on a regular basis.

Before Delhi’s clash against Mumbai Indians, Sourav Ganguly said, “It’s not easy for the bowlers; they are being targeted all over the park. This is one area of concern that needs to be looked at in the future. There should be a way to get that perfect and even balance between the bat and ball.”.

Earlier, the rule of two bouncers was introduced in this year’s IPL to give bowlers a bit of relief.
There has been a huge debate over the impact sub rule, and many teams feel that impact sub is creating that imbalance between the bat and ball as many teams are able to score 240–250 runs because of the extra batter.

The Delhi Capitals have received another huge blow as two of their main players, Ishant Sharma and David Warner, are set to miss their clash against the Mumbai Indians due to injury.

Delhi’s director of cricket, Sourav Ganguly, has also informed us about the same, saying that both players are on their road to recovery, so they are set to miss the clash against the Mumbai Indians. This is not the first time that these players have missed the match due to injury. There have been many instances of players missing matches for the Delhi Capitals, which has led them to lose matches in the crunch situation.
