Pakistan Will Not Be Able To Take Part In World Cup Due To VISA Issue

The Third T20 World Cup for Blind started in India; In this tournament, 24 matches will be played from 5th December to 17th December 2022.

Seven cricketing nations were set to participate in this tournament, including India, Australia, Nepal, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. And the seventh nation, Pakistan, hasn’t reached India due to visa issues, and they will not participate in this T20 World Cup, and now only six countries will participate in this tournament.

Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has provided a statement on this issue and said India denied the tournament visas.

“This unfortunate incident has left the Pakistan blind cricket team in the lurch,” the council said.

Speaking on this issue, The Cricket Association for Blind in India President Mahantesh GK said the Indian Ministry Of External Affairs is working on this issue, and the Pakistani team would get their visa soon.

This Blind T20 World Cup has been organized by Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI). The tournament’s opening match is played at Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium in Gurugram On 5th December. This tournament is being organized to remark World Disability Day globally. And former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is the brand ambassador of this tournament.
