“I Don’t Regret Anything…..” David Warner Provided A Noteworthy Comment On Sandpaper Gate Incident

Australian star batter David Warner has performed consistently for his national team and lifted Australian cricket to another level. He is always in the limelight across all three formats, but in 2018 he faced the lowest moment of his cricketing career when he was banned for a year from International cricket due to ball tempering. That incident was known as sandpaper gate, and he did that against South Africa in their home, and after the ban was released, he has not been part of the leadership group on his national side.

During an interview recently, in that interview, he was asked if he regretted that incident. In the reply, the Australian star batter responded bluntly and said nobody is perfect, and that’s why he hasn’t any regret in life.

“I don’t regret anything. You make your own path. No one is perfect, and you should never judge anyone until you’re perfect. If you try to be this robotic person who wants to please everyone, it will come down anyway because you can’t please everyone. Whatever has happened in my past, it’s made me the individual I am and has probably got me to where I am,” responded Warner.

Further speaking on it, Warner stated that his circle is small and trusts them; I have no regret and enjoy every moment.

“My circle around me is very small. They’re the only people I trust, and I can always ask them for advice. If I did go back and make changes, I wouldn’t be the person I am and what I value. I’ve got no regrets, and I enjoy where I am,” Warner replied.

The Australian batter also stated that the people in authority at Cricket Australia during the 2018 ball-tampering scandal hardly supported him during the 12-month ban. In an analogy, he compared himself with a ‘washing machine’ used to ‘rinse and recycle’ as he talked about the time away from the game.

Further speaking on the same issues, he revealed that no one helped me at the time of the ban. I came as the new player in the cricket just like a washing machine does with a cloth. High command is doing a great job.

“The people that were close to me looked out for me. Within the organization, though, nope. Unfortunately, that’s what it was like back then. You were like this washing machine. You’re rinsed out and recycled, and the next player comes in. A lot has changed since then, and George Bailey and Andrew McDonald are doing a great job now. You expect the organization to support you,” further he revealed.
