“Number 6 in the world ranking but….”Ex Indian stars question this bowler’s absence in the world cup squad

Team India has unveiled their squad for the upcoming T-20 World Cup, with some surprising names failing to find their place in the squad. Players like Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma, who have set the IPL ablaze with their batting, failed to find a place in the team.
While players like Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed, who have been proven performers on the international or domestic stage, have been included in the reserve.

In the opener, Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ignored for the World Cup, and Shubman Gill has been given priority over him. While left-arm pacer T Natarajan, who has bowled some phenomenal spells in this year’s IPL, has been ignored, players like Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj have been given priority over him.

One of the other notable absentees in the squad was Ravi Bishnoi. He is currently number 6 in the ICC ranking and has picked up 5 wickets in 9 matches. Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan raised questions about his absence.

Irfan Pathan wrote on X, “If I am sitting pretty at 6th in the ICC T20i rankings but not in the World Cup lineup, it’s a tough pill to swallow. #Ravibishnoi.”
