Indian Premier League is set to hold its mini-auction for the next edition on Friday in Kochi. Every franchise is ready to buy an impactful player in the auction with their remaining purse. Some T20I star may get more than anyone have ever thought, which will change their fortune in the upcoming season.
A total of 405 players, including 119 capped players and 282 uncapped players, and 4 associate nations will participate in the auction. Eighty-six players will participate in the auction as called out, and the rest of the 319 players will be called in an accelerated process based on a list picked by the franchise. Of the 405 players, there are 273 players are Indians, and the rest of the 132 players are overseas.
The auction ceremony will take place in Kochi at Grant Hyatt Hotel on Friday (23rd December 2022), and the auction will start at 2:30 pm IST and end around 9:30 pm IST. Hugh Edmeades will take over the auctioneer responsibility in this IPL mini-auction 2023.
