Aiden Markram has been appointed as the captain to lead South Africa’s team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The Proteas have unveiled their squad for the tournament, which will take place in the USA and West Indies.

Anrich Nortje and Quinton de Kock, both omitted from Cricket South Africa’s central contract list are notable inclusions in the squad. Nortje has been sidelined from international cricket since September 2023 due to a back injury, while De Kock retired from ODIs after the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
