Mithali Raj Picks Her India Squad For T20 World Cup 2024, Sunbs KL Rahul

As anticipation grows for the release of India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad by BCCI, former India women’s team captain Mithali Raj has selected her likely 15-player squad for the ICC tournament.

Mithali Raj supports Yashasvi Jaiswal as the opening partner for captain Rohit Sharma. In her lineup, Virat Kohli retains his regular position at number three. Next in line is Suryakumar Yadav, known for his powerful batting in T20 cricket and he occupies the number four position.

Mithali has picked Rishabh Pant as her primary wicketkeeper, with Sanju Samson as the backup. As a result, KL Rahul has been omitted from the squad.

The experienced player has added Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh to her squad. Mithali has chosen Hardik Pandya as one of the all-rounders, even though there have been concerns about his form and fitness.

Mithali has appointed all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to lead the spin department, complemented by Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah heads the pace bowling unit, with Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj providing support. This selection ensures a well-rounded and balanced attack for the squad.
