MS Dhoni stands as one of the world’s greatest players, holding the distinction of being the only Indian captain to secure victory in three ICC tournaments. Renowned for leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five IPL titles, Dhoni is set to don the yellow jersey once more and will be looking forward to getting the sixth title.
MS Dhoni enjoys a widespread fan following across the country. In the IPL 2023, during every away match, enthusiastic fans turned out in large numbers to witness MSD in action, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of CSK playing on their home turf in Chennai. Recently, Dhoni was seen interacting with his fans during a visit to his ancestral village in Almora, Uttarakhand.
MS Dhoni was once again engaging with fans at a public event. In the course of this interaction, an ardent RCB fan appealed to MSD urging him to extend his support to Bangalore and guide the team to secure an IPL trophy for the franchise.
The RCB fan said, “I’ve been a die-hard RCB fan for 16 years, and like the way you have won five titles for CSK, I want you to support us and win one trophy.”
Replying to this, MS Dhoni said, “You know, they are a very good team but also what you need to see is in cricket everything doesn’t go according to plan. So, if you are talking about IPL, all the ten teams more often if they have the full players, all of them are very strong teams, the problem arises if you are missing a few players because of injury or reasons like that.”
“So, there is a very good team and everybody has a fair chance in the IPL, as of now, I have so many things to worry about for my own team. So, I would like to wish every team all the very best but more than that I can’t really do much as of now because imagine me trying to come up with a way to support or help some other team. How will our fans feel.”
