Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian cricket team on their impressive victory in the first Test against West Indies in Dominica. India won the match comfortably by an innings and 141 runs, with Ravichandran Ashwin delivering a remarkable performance to become India’s second-highest wicket-taker in international cricket.

Wasim Jaffer praised the Indian team for their dominant performance and highlighted the contributions of Ravichandran Ashwin, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Rohit Sharma. Jaiswal, making his debut, was awarded the Man of the Match for his century, while Ashwin’s exceptional bowling performance deserved equal applause. Australia holds the second position, followed by England. West Indies is placed fourth. It’s worth noting that five of the top nine Test teams are yet to begin their WTC 2023-25 cycle, making India’s position even more impressive.
