Last IPL For MS Dhoni? Robin Uthappa Gives Makes His Prediction On The Future Of Former CSK Skipper

CRIC Informer

Former Indian batter Robin Uthappa has given his verdict on the future of former Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and has talked on his retirement plans. He feels that Dhoni can surprise his fans and can play one more year in the reputed Indian T20 league.

Dhoni’s decision to transfer his captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad just a day before CSK’s season opener against RCB marked a significant shift. In this new phase, Dhoni has embraced a different batting position in the lower order for the franchise. Despite relinquishing the captaincy, Dhoni has still played crucial innings for CSK in IPL 2024.

While having a conversation with Jio Cinema, Robin Uthappa has got his take on the future of MS Dhoni, mixing the analysis of the most important CSK vs RCB match.

“Coming to CSK, is this MS’s last run? I don’t think so, personally, I don’t think so. But, do they want to spoil RCB’s party? Definitely. Ruturaj, I think, would want to get to the knockout stage in his first season as captain. That will be a huge confidence booster for him and for CSK. It’s one for the long run. Let’s see where that goes,” Uthappa said.

Uthappa provided insights into how CSK could tackle their upcoming match against RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru with a strong mindset and high energy levels.

“Well, I have played for both sides, I am somewhere in the middle. RCB, after the way they have bounced back from the way they started, you want them to kind of comeback. A lot depends on the toss there,” Uthappa added.
