The pillar of New Zealand’s batting lineup for years, Kane Williamson, has achieved a new milestone in the ongoing second Test against England in Wellington. On the fourth day of this match, Kane Williamson scored a boundary and became the highest run-getter in the history of New Zealand cricket.

As he chipped a boundary on James Anderson’s bowling in the 84th over of New Zealand’s innings, he passed the former Kiwi star, Ross Taylor. His teammates and the crowd praised his achievement.

Ross Taylor has 7683 runs to his name in the 196 innings of 112 matches that he played for New Zealand. On the other hand, Kane Williamson has 7787 runs in his kitty. Williamson has played 161 innings for New Zealand. The third on the list is former New Zealand Captain Stephen Fleming, who has 7172 runs in the game’s longest format.
