Shameful T20 Record, Isle Of Man Leave Behind Sydney Thunder To Register The Lowest T20 Score Against Spain

On Sunday, February 26, the Isle of Man scored the lowest total in T20 cricket history. At the La Manga Club Bottom Ground, the side, coached by Carl Haartman, was dismissed for 10 runs in 8.4 overs against Spain.

The previous record was held by Sydney Thunder, who scored 15 runs against Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League’s 2022–23 season (BBL). Talking about the match between Spain and Isle, seven batters for the Isle of Man were unable to reach double-figure mark.

The lowest score in T20I history was also recorded by the Isle of Man. They surpassed a record set by Turkey four years before when they were dismissed for 21 runs by the Czech Republic at Ilfov County in 2019.

Joseph Burrows scored the most four runs off seven balls for the team. Atif Mehmood, who finished with numbers 4-2-6-4, was the best Spanish bowler. Mohammad Kamran got three wickets while Lorne Burns picked two for the team.

Spain defeated the Isle of Man 0-5 in the six-match T20I series. After losing the opening game of the series by 81 runs, the second game was called off. Spain then went on to win the third and four matches by a margin of eight and six wickets, respectively.
