Pat Cummins showed his witty side after Sunrisers Hyderabad’s clash against Lucknow Super Giants, saying that “Maybe Abhishek Sharma and Travis head just changed the pitch.” Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match in just 9.4 overs by 10 wickets, chasing the target of 166.
The pitch appeared to be on the slower side, as Lucknow just managed to score 27 in their first six overs. Pat Cummins was asked jokingly about who changed the pitch in the mid-inning, to which Cummins replied probably the openers.
Cummins said, “Maybe Travis and Abhishek did. We just let them go; they are two guys who are very positive, and I’m a bowler; it is tough for me to give them any input.”
Cummins further went on to say that he is not surprised by the way Travis Head has been batting, saying that he has been like that for the last few seasons.
Cummins said, “He’s been like this for 2 years; he hits the tough areas, hits the middle a lot, and might not be super conventional.”
The skipper was also all praise for Abhishek Sharma and called him an incredible player of both spin and pace.
Cummins said, “Just an incredible player of spin and pace. With just 2 fielders out, it is really difficult for the bowlers against them.”
