Team India’s star and RCB’s ex-captain Virat Kohli is hoping to replicate the heroics of RCB’s women in the upcoming IPL season.
The Royal Challengers Bangaluru defeated Delhi Capitals in the finals of the WPL to clinch their first ever title in the second edition of the WPL itself. On the other hand, males have not been able to win a single title for the past 16 years.
Speaking about the same, Virat Kohli said, “It was absolutely amazing. When they won it (the WPL), we were watching. Hopefully, we can double it up with the trophies, and that will be something truly special.”
Virat Kohli is now set to play for RCB for the 17th consecutive season and will look to end the title drought of the last 16 years that the fans have been waiting for.
Speaking about the same, Virat Kohli said, “That’s a dream of mine to know what it feels like to win an IPL trophy. I will be here to be a part of the team that wins the trophy for the first time.
“I will try my very best with my abilities and my experience to be able to do that for the fans and the franchise.”
Virat Kohli, who’s the highest-scoring player in the Indian Premier League, said that his intensity and passion for the sport remain the same and aren’t going to change.

Virat said, “It is because of the way we play our cricket, our commitment, and the passion that we saw over the years that we have such a fanbase.
“So, that’s not going to change, and that’s my promise every year to the fans, to the team, and to everyone involved.”
