The match was filled with excitement with a huge total of 42 sixes and a combined score of 523 runs. Not only this, all four opening batsmen in the game scored over 50 runs each.
PBKS made history by completing the highest successful chase in T20 cricket. He surpassed a target of 262 runs, which broke South Africa’s previous record of 259 against West Indies set in 2023. PBKS also set a new record by hitting 24 sixes during their innings and broke the record of Sunrisers Hyderabad(22) when they achieved the highest-ever IPL total of 287 against RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
