ACC Meeting Today, Big Decision Can Be Taken On PCB Over Hosting The Asia Cup 2023

An important emergency meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is set to be held on 4th February. This meeting is very important regarding the Asia Cup 2023, to be hosted by Pakistan this year. This meeting has been called by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) itself. The meeting will be held in Bahrain, where ACC President Jai Shah will also be involved.

The Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan in September this year. Regarding this, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah, has already made it clear that the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. And that’s why Pakistan Board President Najam Sethi has called this meeting regarding the ongoing confusion about the hosting of the Asia Cup 2023.

As per the BCCI sources, the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 will never be going to held in Pakistan. In such a situation, this tournament can be conducted at a neutral venue. If this happens, then the Asia Cup can be shifted to UAE. Sri Lanka is also another option.

“Jay Shah is already present in Bahrain for the ACC meeting. BCCI stands by its decision, and it will never change. We will not go on Pakistan tour at all because we have not yet received approval from the government,” a BCCI source stated.

Recently Jay Shah, as ACC President, also released the schedule of Asian Cricket for the next two years (2023-24). In which the Asia Cup was also included. During this, the dates and venues of the Asia Cup were not released.
