Why Pakistani Anchor Zainab Abbas Deported From India? Big Reason Explained By Her

In a surprising turn of events, Pakistani anchor Zainab Abbas has been reportedly deported from India, leaving her unable to cover the ongoing ICC World Cup. This development comes in the wake of her old anti-Hindu remarks against the country, which have stirred significant controversy.

Reports from Pakistani media indicate that Zainab Abbas has indeed been deported from India and is currently in Dubai. The circumstances leading to her deportation are shrouded in controversy.

Zainab Abbas vehemently denies the allegations made against her and claims that she has been unfairly targeted. She has cited security concerns as her reason for leaving the country abruptly. The Pakistani sports presenter was included in the ICC Presenter’s list, and her sudden departure has left many questions unanswered.

The controversy surrounding Zainab Abbas revolves around her old anti-Hindu remarks, which resurfaced on social media platforms. A few days before her deportation, a cyber complaint was filed against her for these remarks on a platform formerly known as Twitter.

Supreme Court lawyer Vineet Jindal filed the complaint against the Pakistani presenter, sparking a social media storm. In his tweet, he wrote, “Complaint against @ZAbbasOfficial filed by Advocate & Social Activist @vineetJindal19 with cyber cell Delhi Police. Requesting to lodge FIR under section 153A, 295, 506, 121 IPC and sec 67 IT Act for making derogatory remarks for Hindu faith and beliefs and for anti-Bharat statements. Zainab must be removed from the list of presenters on an immediate basis from ICC World Cup by @ICC & @BCCI. Vineet Jindal’s complaint drew attention to tweets that were nearly a decade old, posted by an account named “Zainablovesrk,” which has now been linked to Zainab’s official account. These controversial tweets, which have resurfaced after years, led to her deportation from India while she was presenting the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023.

Before traveling to India for the World Cup, Zainab had expressed her excitement about the opportunity. She had written, “There was always intrigue on what lies on the other side, more cultural similarities than differences, rivals on the field but camaraderie off the field, the same language & love for art & a country with a billion people, here to represent, to create content & bring in expertise from the best in the business. Humbled to be presenting in India at the Cricket WC2023 for the @ICC again, a journey away from home of 6 weeks starts now.”

The deportation of Zainab Abbas has ignited a heated debate, with some supporting her right to freedom of speech and others condemning her for her controversial remarks.
