Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir who had been part of the 2007 T20I World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup winning team has shared his opinion on the for Rohit Sharma and company to win the trophy. As per Gambhir’s view, the crucial moment for India’s World Cup aspirations lies in the opening match against the formidable Australian team which is set to take place on October 8th at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

In 2007 when we won the World Cup, we defeated Australia in the semifinal. In 2011 when we won the World Cup, we beat Australia in the quarterfinal. Australia is the strongest team in any ICC tournament,” Gambhir said on Star Sports Star Cast expert show ‘Mission World Cup’.
