During the match between CSK and SRH in Hyderabad, the fans in the stadium displayed their admiration and affection for former Indian and Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni. They showed love and support for the legendary wicketkeeper-batter throughout the game.
Dhoni didn’t get many opportunities to bat during the match as he entered the game later in the innings. However, just his appearance on the field was sufficient to energize the fans. They stood from their seats and cheered for their favorite cricketer like anything before.
After seeing the abundance of support and cheering from the spectators, SRH captain Cummins was totally surprised, which he mentioned during the post-match presentation.
The IPL has shared a video on their official X account, showcasing the highlights of the CSK star’s performance in Hyderabad. The crowd’s reaction to his arrival at the crease was phenomenal, with the entire stadium echoing with “Dhoni, Dhoni” chants.
SRH players Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, and Jaydev Unadkat paid tribute to Dhoni in the video. Klaasen expressed his certainty that Dhoni will be remembered as a legend of the sport, while Markram stated that Dhoni still possesses his exceptional skills.
“He is going down as a legend. Especially in this country, as well,” said Klaasen.
“Yeah, he’s still got it. He is still the legend,” said Markram.
Unadkat mentioned that Dhoni has a tremendous aura and that everyone admires him.
“There is no point denying the fact that everyone is an MS Dhoni fan. He has got aura behind him,” said Unadkat.
