“I have done things which I Should not…”Gautam Gambhir drops a massive statement regarding his cricket career

Gautam Gambhir, who is currently seen in the IPL in the dugout as the mentor of the side, is known for many illustrious careers, and even in his coaching tenure, he is known for building a stable team and changing the dynamics of the side. This was seen in LSG’s dugout in the past two seasons, and now the same can be said about Knight Riders.

Gautam Gambhir is known for his aggression on the field. His on-field banter with Virat Kohli is still very much talked about amongst the fans.
However, Gautam Gambhir has now made a shocking statement regarding the things he did in his career.

In his interaction with Sportskeeda Gautam Gambhir said ,”Sometimes you need to have an aggressive approach as a leader if you want your team to be aggressive. Sometimes you need to do things you don’t want to. When I look back at my career, I have done some things I shouldn’t have done. But I believed if I didn’t get aggressive and didn’t lead by example, my team wouldn’t play aggressively.”

Gautam further added, “I feel every player and every leader has the right to express themselves on the field. A player should not be judged just by how he is on the field; how he is off should also be looked at.”

In his captaincy tenure, Gautam Gambhir had to make plans against batters like Ab Devilliers, Ms. Dhoni, and Chris Gayle, but Gautam Gambhir made revelations about the batters, which gave him sleepless nights.

Gautam said, “The only batsman that I’ve feared is Rohit Sharma. The only batter who has given me sleepless nights… No Chris Gayle, no AB de Villiers, only Rohit. I always knew I had to have a plan A, a plan B, and probably a plan C as well, because if Rohit is in, I don’t think anything can control him.”

Gautam further added, “I’ve never planned for any other batter in the IPL except Rohit Sharma. There have been times where I have seen visuals and said, ‘Fair enough. Plan A is fine’. But for Rohit, one night before, I used to think, If this doesn’t work, I have to get the other plan.”
