According to the information received, Rs 38 crore has been paid by Mahendra Singh Dhoni to the Income Tax Department as advance tax for the financial year 2022-23, while in the last year, 2021-22, also Dhoni paid Rs 38 crore to the Income Tax Department.
Due to the same payment amount in both years, it is estimated that even though Dhoni’s brand value is still intact in the market, his income has not increased. Last year also, Mahendra Singh Dhoni emerged as Jharkhand’s biggest individual income taxpayer.
