IPL 2023: When Kagiso Rabada And Liam Livingstone Will Play For Punjab Kings? Batting Coach Wasim Jaffer Gives Replies

Punjab Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 5 runs in the 8th match of Indian Premier League 2023 played in Guwahati. Even after this win, there is no sign of Kagiso Rabada and destructive English all-rounder Liam Livingstone.

The batting coach of Punjab Kings, Wasim Jaffer has said that the African speedster Rabada is ready to play from next encounter. However, there is no confirmation about Livingstone.

Although Rabada and Livingstone were absent in both matches, PBKS still managed to win the close game. The team’s lineup will now become more powerful by the return of both players, but while Rabada has joined the squad, Livingstone’s participation remains uncertain since he has not yet arrived in India.

Livingstone has not yet joined the PBKS team as he has not received medical clearance from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The reason for this is because he sustained an injury during his Test debut for Pakistan in December 2022 while fielding and has not played in any competitive cricket matches since then.

Jaffer talked about the participation of their team’s foreign players during the press conference that took place after the match. He said,“Rabada will be available for the next game, but probably not Livingstone, I am not so sure. The manager probably knows it. Rabada probably will be available.”
