Michael Vaughan Backs This Player In Place Of Ollie Robinson To Play The Final Test Match Of The Series

The three lions are all set to face India for the final time in the ongoing five-match test series.

However, ahead of the fifth match of the series, former England player Ollie Robinson thinks of picking a new bowler for the final test match of the series.
Michael Vaughan feels that England should pick Gus Atkinson in place of Ollie Robinson for the final test match of the series against India.

The England team suffered their first-ever series loss under the bazball era as Ben Stokes and the company lost to India by five wickets in Ranchi.

Ranchi Test witnessed some of the classic performances from players from both sides. Amongst many such performances, there was one by Ollie Robinson, who failed to impress everyone with his performance in the fourth test match of the series.

He was not able to pick any wickets with the ball across the two innings; however, he scored a top-notch 58 to bring England back into the hunt along with Joe Root.

The former England captain, Vaughan, based his comments on Robinson’s poor bowling performance. He believes that Atkinson would give England an extra advantage in the final test match to at least grab a consolation win in the fifth Test.

In his YouTube video, Michael Vaughan said, “They’ve got to play Gus Atkinson, the young Quick.” You look at Ollie Robinson in the last Test match; he just looked short of a gallop.”.

The fifth test match of the series is all set to start on March 7 in Dharamshala.
