Major Setback For The Australian Team In The Ongoing Second Test Match Against India

The Australian team has suffered a major setback amid the second Test match in Delhi. Australian veteran opener batter David Warner has been ruled out of the remaining part of the second Test due to a concussion.

Warner scored 15 runs in the first innings of Australia on the first day on Friday. During this inning, two balls of Mohammad Siraj hit his helmet and ankle. After this, Warner looked uncomfortable and did not come on the field for fielding. In such a situation, he has been ruled out of the Delhi Test due to not being fully fit. In his place, left-handed batsman Matthew Renshaw has been included in the playing-11 as a concussion substitute. Renshaw will now bat for Australia in the second innings.

Matt Renshaw was included in the team in his place. Renshaw had failed in both innings in the Nagpur Test, but after Warner’s injury, he has a chance again, and he can confirm his place in the team by playing a good inning. In the second Test, Renshaw was dropped from the team and replaced by Travis Head.

It will be interesting to see whether Warner can recover in time to play in the third Test of the series to be held in Indore starting from 1st March. David Warner has not been able to do anything special in this series. He scored a total of 26 runs in three innings. However, teammate and fellow opener Usman Khawaja feels that Warner will return to form and he should return fit in this series.
