Ishan Kishan Ignores Jay Shah Ultimatum, Wikcet Keeper Batter On The Verge Of Loosing His Central Contract

Team India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman, Ishan Kishan, is once again in the news headlines. The young wicketkeeper batter has been out of action for quite some time, but in spite of that, he has created headlines for his actions in the past few days.

Ishan Kishan has been out of action since he requested a much-needed break from international cricket due to mental fatigue. Since then, he has not been available for selection.

However, recently, Ishan Kishan was seen practicing in Baroda with his Mumbai Indian skipper, Hardik Pandaya. Seeing this, the Cricket Board made it compulsory for the players to play domestic cricket who are currently not selected for India’s squad for any series.

Nevertheless, Jharkhand was all set to play against Rajasthan in their next encounter of the Ranji Trophy, but as soon as Jharkhand announced their playing eleven for the match, Ishan Kishan was not named in the starting eleven.

few days before, the BCCI secretary said that it was mandatory for every player to play domestic cricket if they were not selected for international cricket and if they were not injured. Shah also spoke about giving the selection committee free hand to take the action as desired.

Apart from Ishan Kishan, India’s middle-order batters Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Chahar also made themselves unavailable for selection for their state teams.

In the absence of Ishan, young wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra has been playing as a wicketkeeper for his state team in the ongoing Ranji season.

It will be interesting to see what action the BCCI, or selection committee, takes to get everything back in place. Because the young players are more focused on playing IPL than first-class cricket.
