Why Is Running With Jadeja After Scoring 50 A Crucial Skill? As Sarfraz Khan Joins Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane In An Elite list

Team India is currently up against the formidable England side for the third time in the series in Rajkot. Team India dominated the first day of the third test match as they scored more than 300 runs with a loss of just five wickets.

Team India had many heroes on the opening day of the test match, with Jadeja and Rohit leading the charts as they went on to score hundreds in the third test match of the series. However, Sarfraz Khan was another standout performer for Team India who played with attacking intent despite playing his first game for Team India.

The debut boy from Mumbai scored a top-notch 62 of just 66 deliveries, studded with nine fours and one six. The batter got to his half-century on just 48 deliveries, equaling the record of Hardik Pandya to achieve the same feat against Sri Lanka in 2017.

Sarfraz Khan was all set to get to his hundred on his debut but unfortunately ran out after his miscommunication with Ravindra Jadeja.

However, after his dismissal, Sarfraz Khan joined the elite list of two of India’s greatest test cricket batsmen, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli.

This was not the first time that Jadeja’s partner was run out because of a wrong call from him after reaching 50, as last year in Port of Spain when Virat Kohli was batting on 121, he was also the victim of the same misunderstanding.

Apart from Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane was also once at the receiving end in the border Gavaskar trophy that took place in the year 2020-21 when Ajinkya Rahane was run after a call for a run from Jadeja on the score of 112 against Australia at the MCG. Rahane’s runout was almost the same as what happened with Sarfraz on the first day of the Rajkot test match.
