‘He’s sold him down the river…’ Former England Star Criticizes Jadeja Over Sarfaraz’s Run-Out Dismissal

Team India is up against England. The two ultimate sides of cricket are in the ultimate battle of a five-match test series. Team India is currently playing the third match of the series in Rajkot.

However, one of the most talked-about points in the third test match is the debut of one of the most consistent run-getters in domestic cricket, India’s middle-order batter, Sarfraz Khan, who, after years of performance in first-class cricket, has made it to the international level.

Sarfraz had a phenomenal start to his international career as he made a prolific 62 in his debut test innings of just 66 deliveries, which included nine boundaries and one six. Sarfraz Khan was all set to get a few more runs under his belt and looked to get a fantastic hundred in his debut test match.
But his innings came to an unfortunate end when he was run out because of miscommunication between him and Jadeja.

Several cricket experts have spoken about the incident that took place.

Out of them, one of the most prominent faces of cricket, David Lloyd, said, “He’s (Ravindra Jadeja) sold him down the river. The young lad is going for the single. Jadeja sets off, then sends him back. He (Rohit Sharma) doesn’t like it, but it’s brilliant from Wood.”

The incident took place when James Anderson was bowling the 82nd over of the Indian innings. Team India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was batting on 99 and played a shot towards midfield and called for a single, but England’s pace bowler was quick to throw the ball towards the non-strikers end while Sarfraz Khan was out of his crease.

Sarfraz Khan was totally disappointed after the incident took place, but when he was asked about the incident in a press conference, he said that these things happen in the game and it’s all part and parcel of the sport.
