Big Breaking: Ashwin Withdraws His Name From Rajkot Test Due To Family Emergency

Team India is currently up against England for the third test match of the series in Rajkot. With a couple of days passed in the test match,the match is evenly balanced in favor of both teams.

However, ahead of the start of day three, Team India suffered a huge blow as Team India’s veteran spinner Ravi Ashwin withdrew from the third test with immediate effect.

Ashwin withdraws his name due to a medical emergency in his family after a few hours of claiming the 500th test wicket. The board has requested fans to show support for India’s star bowler and respect his privacy.

In an official statement, the board said, “Ravichandran Ashwin has withdrawn from India’s Test squad immediately due to a family medical emergency. In these tough times, the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the team fully extend their support to Ashwin.

The BCCI extends its heartfelt support to the veteran cricketer and his family. The health and well-being of the players and their family members are of the utmost importance. The Board requests respect for the privacy of the ace spinner and his family as they pass through this challenging time.

The board further added that the team will continue to provide any necessary support to Ashwin and will be in constant communication, open to offering support as desired. Team India appreciates the understanding and empathy of the fans and media during this sensitive period.

Speaking of the match, India’s bowling has been out of rhythm against England’s Bazball, as after scoring 445/10 in the first innings, England went on to score 207/2 in just 35 overs, with Ben Duckett batting on 133 and Joe Root batting on 9.
