India and England will clash with each other in the second semifinal of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on Thursday and before this blockbuster game England captain Jos Buttler had some sets of questions from the media on the eve of India vs England clash.
Here are some major questions and their answers from the press conference with Jos Buttler.
Question 1- How is the mood of the camp before this mega clash against India?
Answer – Obviously we are excited about the game. The Indian side is exceptionally well and we like to be in such a situation.
Question 2- What would be the team combination with Malan and Wood already injured?
Answer- Dawid Malan and Mark Wood are not well but we are hoping these guys to be fit before the game. However, they are still doubtful and the medical team is working on both players. We need these players fully fit.
Question 3- Any pressure for the semifinal game?
Answer- Not really, we are excited about the game. We know that the way we play, we have a chance of winning. We would like to stick to our plan and we don’t want to do anything new and just do the basic things.
Question 4- How it feels playing against Bhuvaneshvar Kumar?
Answer- Including him all the Indian bowlers are good. Bhubaneswar is a good bowler but at some point, I don’t have any fear with him.
Question 5 – Any key player from England side to whom you can rely on?
Answer – Almost all the players are good and this is the reason they are with the team. Somwhere, Phil Salt is an interesting guy and he has a very clear mindset. He is someone who looks to perform.
Question 6 – Do you take tips and advices from Eoin Morgan?
Answer – I speak to Eoin Morgan on a regular basis. He is clever and a great player. However, when it comes to captaincy I follow my way to lead the team.
Question 7 – Any specific plan for Suryakumar Yadav?
Answer – Well, Surya is someone who can be proved dangerous for any kind of batting lineup. As a fan he a treat to watch. He has varieties of shots with him and the team need to dismiss him with that one good ball.
Question 8 – What do you think about the conclusion of this T20 World Cup?
Answer- We certainly don’t want to see any India versus Pakistan final. We will try to spoil their party.
