Mumbai’s skipper Hardik Pandya was all praise for Suryakumar Yadav after he scored a phenomenal hundred against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting at number four for the team, Surya Kumar Yadav scored 102 of just 51 deliveries, which included 12 boundaries and six sixes.
Suryakumar Yadav added 143 runs along with Tilak Verma after Mumbai was dented by three wickets at the start of the chase of 174.
Speaking about Suryakumar Yadav’s innings, Hardik Pandya said, “SKY was unbelievable. More than him getting runs, he puts so much pressure on bowlers that even other batters get loose balls. He breaks you. He’s evolved. I’m lucky to have him on my team and hope to have many more such innings”
The Mumbai Indians are still in the playoffs, but with a very slim chance; however, Hardik doesn’t want to get too much into mathematical equations.
Hardik said, “I don’t know the mathematical situation we need to go through, but I’m happy with how we went today. I gave up 15-20 runs extra, but the batting was excellent.”
The Mumbai Indians will be facing KKR in their next game, which is scheduled to be played on May 11.
