Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, And David Miller Eye On Massive Records In The Second SA-IND T20I Match

India is scheduled to play against South Africa in the second T20I match on Tuesday, December 12th at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha. Due to rain, the first match of the three-match series was canceled without the toss.

Here are some big records which could be made in the second T20 International.

Suryakumar Yadav made his T20I debut in 2021 and he has a golden chance to reach the 2000 runs mark in the shortest format of the game in a very quick time. Currently, Pakistan batter Babar Azam holds the record for the fastest 2000 runs in the T20I, in 4 years and 230 days.

If Ravindra Jadeja manages to get four wickets in the second game, he will reach the milestone of 550 international wickets in international cricket. With this, Jadeja will become the seventh Indian to reach this feat. Jadeja has played 328 matches for India so far in which he has clinched 546 wickets. The left-arm spinner has got 275 wickets in Test, 220 wickets in ODIs, and 51 in the shortest format of the game.

Before Jadeja, Anil Kumble, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, and Javagal Sreenath have achieved this huge pillar.

From South Africa, if the dynamic batter David Miller gets 103 runs, he will become the highest run-getter for South Africa in T20I cricket. Currently, wicket-keeper batter Duinton de kock holds the number one position with 2277 runs in 79 innings on the other hand, Miller has 2175 runs in 97 innings.
