Pietersen gave the statement on Klaasen as the finest T20I batter after the wicketkeeper-batsman’s impressive performance for the Durban Super Giants in the SA20. Klaasen played a crucial innings and scored 74 runs in the second qualifier against the Joburg Super Kings on Thursday, February 8.

Once Klaasen was at 15 runs from 13 balls, unleashed a powerful assault on the Super Kings’ bowlers. His exceptional performance has positioned him as the second-highest run-scorer in the SA20 where he has gathered 447 runs in 12 innings at an impressive strike rate of 208.87.
Klaasen and Wiaan Mulder stitched a partnership of 101 runs in 38 balls to help Durban’s Super Giants get a total of 211 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs.
