ICC Announces The T20I Team Of The Year, 4 Indians Make Into The List

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the T20I team of the year 2023 and for this, they have appointed Suryakumar Yadav as its captain.

The squad included four Indian players that are like Suryakumar Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Arshdeep Singh. Players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, etc., have not been part of the format since the conclusion of the T20 World Cup last year.

At the top of the batting order, the Indian pair of Suryakumar and Yashasvi were the initial selections, followed by England’s Phil Salt at the No. 3 position. Jaiswal, who made his debut for India last year against West Indies in August and till now he has gathered 430 runs in 14 innings in 2023 at a strike rate of 159.

The devastating batter of England, Phil Salt also made his place in the playing XI. West Indies wicket-keeper batter Nicholas Pooran secured the No. 4 spot, and New Zealand’s Mark Chapman claimed the No. 5 position in the team.

Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza occupied the No. 6 spot, and Uganda’s Alpesh Ramjani, along with Ireland’s Mark Adair, were two unexpected names in the team.

In the bowling department, Zimbabwe’s Richard Ngarava and Arshdeep Singh form the bowling attack along with the Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi.
