Sachin Tendulkar, the God of cricket, is celebrating his 50th birthday today. Sachin ruled the 22-yard pitch independently during his international career. - Most runs in Tests and ODIs:- Sachin Tendulkar played 200 Tests and 463 ODIs in his international career, also a world record. Sachin is the only batsman in the world to play 200 matches in the longest format of cricket. In his Test career, Sachin scored 15,921 runs in 329 innings at an average of 53.78. At the same time, 18,426 runs came out of the Master Blaster’s bat in ODIs. In the Test and ODI, no batsman is seen even around this record of Sachin.
- The Century of Centuries:- In international cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman to score hundreds of centuries. Breaking the record of Sachin is not visible to any batsman in the world. Sachin has scored 51 centuries in Test cricket and 49 in the ODI format.
- Record of playing most ODIs and Test matches:- In a career spanning 22 years, Sachin Tendulkar played 200 Test matches and 463 ODIs. Sachin is the batsman who played the most matches in both these formats in international cricket. Considering the increasing popularity of T20, hardly any batsman in world cricket will be able to match this record of Sachin.
- Most boundaries in Test cricket:- Sachin Tendulkar played 200 Test matches in his career and scored 51 centuries and 68 fifties during this period. Sachin holds the record for most boundaries in Test cricket. Playing in a white jersey, Master Blaster has taken the ball across the boundary line 2,127 times, which included 2058 fours and 69 sky-high sixes.
- Record for most World Cup appearances:- Sachin Tendulkar also holds the record for most World Cup appearances. Sachin played six World Cups in his international career; in the last World Cup, he also succeeded in making Team India the champion. Sachin played his first World Cup in the year 1992. After this, he was a part of 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011 World Cup teams.
